Abstract: The purpose of this research is to study the efficiency of the vertical axis wind turbine pumping system. The pump test at the Bung Boraphet nature and wildlife education center in the Bung Boraphet waterfowls park, Nakhon Sawan Province. The using data from the wind speed recordings, the test area is input to the SOLIDWORK FLOW SIMULATION CFD Analysis program to analyze the probability of rotation of the vertical axis wind turbine used in the test. When analyzing the program, it was found that the right-hand side of the turbine blade, which is the same direction of wind, has higher wind speed than the left-hand blade. As a result, the wind velocity occurs at each position of the turbine blade. It can be concluded that the blade can rotate in a clockwise direction. It has designed and built a vertical axis wind turbine to pump water. A 4-meter high wind turbine is delivered with a shaft of 1 inch through the sprocket to gear the piston pump. The suction pipe size is 1 inch, the head is 5 meters, the tank is 400 liters. The result was recorded in 7 days test from 08.00 to 17.00 hours. The maximum wind speed of 2.83 meters per second. The minimum speed is 2.11 meters per second. The average wind speed is 2.49 meters per second. The maximum speed of turbine blade is 18.01 RPM, the minimum turbine blade speed is 13.43 RPM, the average turbine blade speed is 15.85 RPM. In addition, the maximum torque is 121.50 Nm, the minimum torque is 67.54 Nm, the average torque is 94.06 Nm. The average efficiency of the pumping system with the wind turbine is 0.66.The pumping capacity per test cycle is 68.04 liters.
